I use Keynote and Appleworks instead of the Office suite. Since I’m not importing and interoperating with other MS Office users, I’m happy. I can also read the occaisional document that gets forwarded to me by a co-worker that hasn’t made the “Switch” yet.

2004.06.04 : I’ve been “forced” into getting Office/X so that I can’t complain about Word in e-mail anymore. This smacks of a great injustice but my analogy production department is on strike.

Personally I really like Mail.app, the built in Address Book, iCal and the level of integration. In particular, I really like how it all integrates with iSync, my (ancient) Palm Vx and my (not so ancient) Sony Ericsson T68i Z600 *.

* <rant> Like many sites I’ve frequented lately, the Sony Ericsson site seems to only function as intended with MSIE 5.X. You can snoop around, but you really cannot do much (especially technical support) without MSIE. The web is standards based and content should take priority over appearance, but, this isn’t what most companies think. Espcially their web content contractors who seem to make money pushing glitz over guts. </rant>
