Update: Now that I’ve seen it, I’ve removed and clarified a few things below. I really must blog and write more content because I really don’t want this to be the top entry in my blog any longer.
It’s too bad that Lucas doesn’t know how to make a real movie. You know the type — with subtle believable characters and an interesting well executed continuum.

In a stunningly sarcastic and potentially spot-on review of Lucas’s latest cinematic enterprise, Anthony Lane jabs and tears at the fabric of space-time that holds the Republic together. A review that makes the joy of reading so much more tangible.
What’s really interesting is that the New Yorker as posted related back-issue stories on the sidebar of the review, including one of the original reviews of Star Wars from 1977. Nice.
