Apparently the Apple iPhone has some issues at Duke University. The iPhone has some oddball (unconfirmed) problem where it can ask for a default router IP address over and over again at an outrageous rate, taking the WLAN down or seriously affecting service as it hammers away. Trouble is, it isn’t the right router address – Duke personnel are looking into it, but this could be a real problem once the students return – some fraction of them will certainly have iPhones. John Cox has more at Network World in his article on this problem.
