I’ve seen a number of variations on this theme, but I think the particular instance you found is a Kohler Bol.

Yeah, I've actually seen that faucet in the stores before...it looks like the one you saw is likely a Kohler: For similar ideas and slightly more modern looks there is also this one (which I have also seen both in stores and installed in places I've been): That might give you some ideas if you liked the concept enough to search for one yourself.
