Slow times

Well…

Saturday was a slow one… we had a few citas and then we had 2 labor checks at the end of the day. I stayed on to help again, beyond my shift, and I am so glad that I did. I ended up being second at one of the birth…. and boy did they give birth quickly!! Someone had predicted that one would be delivering their baby and the other one would begin pushing around the same time. That is pretty much what happened. I was able to complete my duties as a second and then run to the next birth to observe. By midnight everything had calmed down and everyone who could be was headed to bed.
I was up the next morning for my first 1st on shift which begins at 6 am. No-one was there, so I laid down on the couch and promptly went to sleep for a couple of hours. The day was quiet… quiet… quiet. Nada…

And so today… there are 3 of us who have some time on our hands so off to see the big city we go. We are going to head up on the ‘mountain’ (ha ha) and check out downtown El Paso.

I have been in cleaning mode!?! (Jennifer, what have you done to me???) Every time that I have a few minutes to myself I have been cleaning and organizing things. Slowly the house is becoming neater and neater. Soon, I’ll to tackle the bathroom… :-/ Everyone has been keeping things neater, it is always easier to keep a clean place clean.

Today I am going to try to find a pay as you go sim card… so it is not soooo crazy expensive to chat on the phone. Aaargh!!

I have been trying to wrap my head around the now-very-likely move to California. It really changes the face of my school planning – things are a wee bit different in California. I have done some searching to figure it all out. Wow…

How are things going on with all of you?
