Yesterday afternoon on my shift, one of my COC’s came in with her water broken. She and her husband were so excited! They had been asking me for weeks when this baby was going to make his appearance. Caught another beautiful baby boy before the end of my shift yesterday. This is the first baby for mama and she was not totally sure of what to expect. It was quite cute because she was nearing the end and she kept asking how much longer and we would say not much longer and then she would ask “Horas?” (hours)…… (more…)
Hello all, It has been an interesting couple of days. I went and redid the tattoo around my waist and got a new tattoo!!! So I am feeling a wee bit sensitive around the waist right now. I caught another baby yesterday. Mama came in not long after I had gone to sleep and so I went in to see how things were. She was definately in labor so I got her settled into a room and did her vitals and went to bed for a couple of hours. I got called back and she was moving… (more…)
Well, I was 1st on Tuesday night and it began rather quiet. Then I got a labor check around 9pm. She was possibly in early labor but not really doing anything so the midwife decided to let her go home.
